Bianco G

Bianco G

Now we are cooking on gas. This is Grillo, tasting exactly how it should. From the Island of Sicily, located on the Western part of the island in Marsala. Influenced by the sea spray and hot climate. There is a real pedigree to this wine.

100% Grillo grapes from an isolated plot of 50 year old bush vines, which are further back from the coast and has a different soil composition to the rest of Nino's wines. These vines are planted over red sand and terra rossa (red clay). This spent twenty four hours on the skins before ten months of élevage in a combination of old casks and concrete vats.

Tasting notes

There is a lovely depth to the golden colour that gives some idea of the texture and flavour. The nose hits you immediately. This is a fragrant wine that offers vivid mineral, nutty, caramelised and brine notes. Yet, that salinity and salty finish is ever present. Powerful and compelling. A wine to sit back and take your time over.
