G23

G23

Far removed from a dessert wine, orange style or generic white wine that Grillo is known, this is a juicy, vivid and refreshing take from North West Sicily. Grown on young vines that are an average of 12 years old and at an altitude of 360m, there must be something quite special in the soil here.

After harvest the wine is processed is stainless steel tanks and spontaneously fermented with indigenous yeasts. It is then rested to age in tank on fine lees for 6 months

Tasting notes

This is one of the finest examples of Grillo we've tasted. A wonderful golden colour in the class. It has serious mouthwatering salinity. Plenty of white pear and gentle citrus (aka acidity) with a lovely herbal lift and a round, layered palate. Drinking so well for summer.
