Saint Romain Combe Bazin

Saint Romain Combe Bazin

Forget about Premier and Grand Cru (for now...). This is where it's at. From a single vineyard of Chardonnay from vines planted high on the steep slopes of Saint-Romain, where you will find plenty of limestone. The wine ages for 12 months in egg-shaped concrete vats.

This is the flagship wine of the estate. It's a belter and I dare anyone to say otherwise!

Tasting notes

Full on chardonnay which is more perfumed and graceful than the Auxey Duresses, offering an interesting alternative. This is drinking so well now, but will undoubtedly age well for those willing to be patient.
