Tired of Bordeaux blends? Fed up with drinking the same old Sancerre? Had enough of the latest celebrity endorsed Provence rosé? We don't blame you. Instead, how about you join us for some much needed inspiration. Spend a couple of hours in our company as we guide you through some delicious juice from several producers that will help change your perspective of good wine.
The evening will start with a glass of bubbles on arrival before we pour some divine drops from the regions of Burgundy, Loire, Beaujolais, Lombardy and the Canary Islands. Expect plenty of "Roy" merriment as we get stuck into some outstanding indigenous varietals that will cover a wide spectrum of flavours and styles. Even more important, this will provide an idea of the types of bottles you will find in future subscription packs.
We’ll be pouring from 6.30pm to 9.30pm, or at least until the wine runs out.
It will be held at Kasa Cafe on New Cavendish Street (W1W 6YJ), located near Fitzrovia, which means good transport links via Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road and Goodge Street stations.
Kasa Cafe is one of several, small independent venues (mostly artisanal coffee shops) we will be working with across London and Guildford to help us bring Roy's to the masses. Importantly, each venue offers a stylish, relaxed and unpretentious setting to enjoy wine. In Kasa's case, the coffee is pretty good too.
